Driving innovation through collaboration
Last week, Arla Foods Ingredients had the pleasure of hosting an inspiring discussion on how established companies and growth businesses can work together to accelerate innovation.
Organized in collaboration with DI Biosolutions and Food & Bio Cluster Denmark the event brought together industry leaders and innovators to share perspectives on building successful partnerships that create value for all parties.
Our own Niels Østergaard, Vice President of R&D joined Rasmus Mortensen, Founder and CEO of Lyras, and Tore Kiilerich Johansen, Innovation Manager at AAK, for a panel discussion exploring both the opportunities and challenges of collaboration between corporates and emerging companies.
Among the key themes discussed were:
- Different decision-making speeds
- Strategic alignment
- Cultural differences
- IP and ownership considerations
- Integration of new technologies into established operations
While these challenges are familiar, the discussion highlighted that clear objectives, open dialogue, mutual trust, and strong internal sponsorship are essential ingredients for turning innovative ideas into scalable solutions.
A big thank you to our panelists, moderator Heidi Høy, and Food & Bio Cluster Denmark for facilitating an engaging and valuable conversation.
At Arla Foods Ingredients, we believe that partnerships are a key driver of innovation and look forward to continuing collaboration across the food and bio-solutions ecosystem.
