Arla Foods Ingredients has signed an agreement to acquire Volac’s Whey Nutrition business. This strategic acquisition will enhance our product offerings in the health & performance industry. Volac, a UK-based company specializing in whey ingredients for sports nutrition, operates a state-of-the-art whey processing facility in Felinfach, Wales. Through this partnership, we aim to unlock the full potential of whey worldwide and deliver innovative ingredients to meet the growing market demand. Arla Foods Ingredients implements heat pump technology to reduce carbon emissions Arla Foods Ingredients is investing in an electric heat pump facility at its primary processing plant in Denmark, aiming to cut greenhouse gas emissions. The facility, launching in 2025, will shift from gas to electricity for heat production, supporting Arla's target to reduce CO2 emissions from production by 63% by 2030. This is being reviewed on a regular basis in all leadership teams. The D&I dashboard will continue to be a part of the leadership team meetings.
