Lars Holm

Professor, School of Sport, Exercise and Rehabilitation Sciences, University of Birmingham, UK.

Lars Holm is highly experienced in research concerning the effects of protein intake on skeletal muscle and has numerous scientific publications in this field. From mechanistic studies investigating the molecular regulation of protein turnover and how the rates of protein synthesis are affected by protein intake to more long-term studies, Lars has assessed how muscle mass is influenced by protein intake. He has received funding for his work from public institutions and research foundations, as well as from the dairy and meat industries and from companies producing special protein supplement formulations.
