Advanced whey proteins and the latest concepts for including them in sports and clinical nutrition and functional foods drew many visitors to the Arla Foods Ingredients stand at Food Ingredients & Health Ingredients South America 2013 in Brazil.
Sports recovery beverages containing Lacprodan® HYDRO.365 and protein bars with Lacprodan® Alpha were among the samples available to try.
“Within sports nutrition and functional foods, all manufacturers are looking for new trends and new concepts. Particularly the sports nutrition segment in South America is creating new news to consume whey protein, in the form of mousse, cup cakes and soups,” says regional sales manager Andréa Moura.
“We can help with fresh ideas and also the technical support to ensure the nutritional benefits of our ingredients are still optimal in the final food product.”
After the exhibition, where Arla Foods Ingredients shared a stand with its Brazilian distributor Makeni Chemicals, the team hosted a one-day workshop for South American customers.
“The feedback to the workshop was excellent. Within just a few days, we started to receive requests for samples, technical information and meetings,” Moura states.
