When producing solutions for the infant formula industry, we are keenly aware of our responsibility to deliver high quality, nutritional and safe ingredients to the most vulnerable consumer group. This responsibility  sets the standard for the Arla Foods Ingredients quality culture.

Our traceable value chain

Starting with the suppliers of our raw materials, our ingredients are fully traceable all the way to the customer. Whey is sourced only from approved and authorised dairies and is thoroughly controlled before entering our processing plants. All other ingredients and packaging materials are subject to a similar quality assurance programme.

Certified food safety management

Inside the plants, our food safety management systems are certified to a standard approved by the Global Food Safety Initiative, such as FSSC 22000. Here, you’ll find strict procedures for hygiene, microbiological control, crisis management, good manufacturing practice and every other aspect of our ingredient production.

Arla Foods Ingredients supports the WHO recommendation for exclusive breastfeeding for the first six months of an infant’s life and continued breastfeeding up to the age of two or beyond in combination with nutritionally appropriate complementary foods.
