Stronger planet

A stronger planet for future generations

While we recognise the challenges of our production processes consuming energy and water resources, we’re part of the solution, too. Building on our founding principle of nothing going to waste, our business model incorporates circular and bioeconomic principles. Every day, we work to find ways to squeeze more value from every raw material, and to re-use, recycle or repurpose everything we can. At the same time, we’re committed to using greener energy sources, such as biogas, wind and solar, for our production plants.

This reflects our commitment to helping our parent company, Arla Foods, to reach our shared Green Ambition to become Carbon Net Zero by 2050.

In line with the latest climate science, we have committed to a 1,5 degree Celsius Science Based Target by 2030, supporting the most ambitious goal of the Paris agreement. This commitment has more than doubled our group-level decarbonisation reduction plan of previously 30% across our operations to 63% by 2030.

There’s more to be done, but we’re facing up to the challenges of improving the environment to support a Stronger Planet for future generations.

Here, you can read about our two Stronger Planet focus areas that support SDGs 12 and 13.
