Pernille Bak Høstrup, Product service group manager.

pehosA dynamic work environment has always appealed to Pernille Bak Høstrup. As an experienced manager, she is driven by her passion for a challenge and dedication to achieving results. So it was no difficult decision when she was offered the job of heading the Arla Foods Ingredients product service group, responsible for ensuring that product quality meets customer specifications.
“I’d always thought Arla could be a good next step. And what’s really great about being here is that you are part of a successful and progressive company. That gives a fantastic atmosphere,” Pernille says.

Bridge between production and sales
The product service group – known internally as PSG – serves as the bridge between production and sales, which means maintaining close contact with all international factories and sales reps. The primary task is to align production capabilities with customers’ quality requirements. In addition, the group responds to customer quality surveys and keeps an eye on innovation activities to make sure they address real market needs.

Building procedures and tools
Since taking her Master degree in chemistry and biotechnology, Pernille has made her career within the food ingredient industry – working with enzymes and flavour innovation before moving into the world of dairy ingredients.Today, as PSG manager, she invests considerable energy in building the optimum procedures and tools for her team. In line with Arla Foods Ingredients’ ambitious growth strategy, she expects to see her team expand in the near future.

“The functionality of Arla Foods Ingredients’ products is among the best on the market. We brand ourselves on our quality so we have to ensure that it remains high as the company grows.”

Pernille appreciates working in a company with respect for the family life of its employees. 
“But, make no mistake – we are busy,” she adds. “And the work is exciting.”
