Our biggest responsibility at Arla Foods Ingredients has always been to make the best possible use of whey – our key raw material. Within just a few decades, this former waste product of cheese production has become a recognised source of high-quality proteins, calcium, lactose and other valuable components.
Today, there are many other responsibilities we must consider as we grow our business –related to our impact on the planet and on the lives and prosperity of all people.

A collective effort
Our journey to becoming a fully sustainable business relies on the collective efforts of our people and their ongoing dialogue with international partners. These collaborative partnerships are key to developing new ways to:
- support good global health and nutrition
- reduce our consumption of scarce resources
- optimise quality and food safety – in our own production and in the food industry overall
