Awards recognise sustainability in baking

Arla Foods Ingredients receives Honorable Mention from IBIE

Contributions towards sustainability have brought Arla Foods Ingredients an Honorable Mention in the IBIE B.E.S.T. in Baking Awards.
Presented for the second time, the awards recognise companies that promote reduced energy and water consumption, lower waste and healthy living within the bakery industry.

BIB HonorIn addition to covering efforts to reduce the environmental burden of its production, the information submitted by Arla Foods Ingredients for the award programme highlighted protein solutions for egg replacement.
The solutions bring bakers a series of sustainable advantages in the form of reduced energy consumption, less waste and improved food safety.
“The judges panel for the awards comprises experts in sustainability and baking best practices. In receiving the Honorable Mention, we are very pleased to be recognised for our contribution to both,” says Terese O’Neill, regional sales manager.
Held every three years, IBIE – the International Bakery Industry Exposition – takes place in Las Vegas on 6-9 October.
