Caseinates

Our caseinate products fulfil a significant function in ready meals and dairy products. In dietetic products such as infant formula, dietary supplements and sports foods, they supply ideal nutrition for a carefully balanced diet.

Caseinates are obtained by treating the casein micelles in milk with a suitable alkali. Compared to the complex structure of whey proteins, caseinates have an open, flexible structure that makes them ideal for adding functionality to product characteristics such as structure formation, emulsification, water binding, foaming and viscosity. And unlike casein, they are easily dispersible and heat stable.
