Derived from whey, permeate and lactose are produced by a series of separation and concentration processes, starting with the separation of protein from whey. The remaining minerals, lactose and water are then subject to concentration and crystallisation processes prior to transformation into a powder. The final products are categorised as permeate or lactose depending on their lactose content.
Our permeate products have a lactose content ranging from 83% to a premium 96%. Our lactose products have a purity of 99%.
