Caseinoglycomacropeptide

Caseinoglycomacropeptide (CGMP) is subject for much scientific research. CGMP benefits special needs diets, infant formulas, oral hygiene products and  appetite control. Studies on its ability to support a healthy gut microflora point to great potential as a prebiotic in functional foods.

In infants, Sialic acid (SA) seems to be important for brain development-end neurological functions. Our milk-based LACPRODAN® CGMP-10 is a rich source of protein bound Sialic acid.

The extremely low level of phenylalanine makes our milk-based LACPRODAN® CGMP-20 an outstanding protein source for people suffering from phenylketonuria (PKU).

Our CGMP facilitates the production of conventional food products, such as yoghurt. Due to its low content of aromatic amino acids, CGMP can also be used in diets for patients suffering from hepatic diseases.

CGMP is also anti-cariogenic, making it ideal for oral hygiene products.  Studies indicate that by increasing the secretion of hormones, it is an excellent component in appetite regulation products.
