State of the art application centre builds on expertise

Unique facility to optimise development of customer solutions

Arla Foods Ingredients’ new sophisticated application centre in Denmark is complete and ready to go into operation.  International customers can expect great things of the purpose-built facility, which is designed to optimise development projects with the company’s strong specialist teams.
Located in Aarhus, the centre comprises 2,000m2 of test and analysis laboratories – meat and dairy laboratories for the functional milk protein team and a large laboratory for the bakery team with several ovens, including a pilot-scale tunnel oven.

Optimum innovation

Flexibility has been a key priority in shaping the application centre, where knowledge sharing and work in cross-organisational teams will be among the priorities.
To inspire optimum innovation, the centre also contains a customer room, made for easy adaptation to specific development projects.

Employee involvement
Arla Foods Ingredients’ employees have been closely involved in tailoring the design of the application centre, which lies in connection with a new office building.

Inauguration
The inauguration of the new centre will take place on 2 November. Construction of Arla Foods Ingredients’ new head office continues on a neighbouring plot and is scheduled for completion in May 2010.
