The 2015 call of the Arla Foods Dairy Health and Nutrition Excellence Center (AFDHNEC) gave rise to three projects. Two within the area  “Prevent/Remedy Metabolic Syndrome” and one within  “Prevent/Remedy Malnutrition”. All three projects have participation from University of Copenhagen, Aarhus University, Arla Foods Ingredients Group P/S and Arla Foods amba.

Mouse studies to elucidate the molecular mechanisms govern the beneficial effects of milk-derived proteins 

SUMMARY
Elucidation of the molecular mechanisms governing the beneficial nutritional effects of diets containing milk-derived constituent with a focus on milk-derived proteins and their processed products.

CutDM - Cut down on carbohydrate usage in the diet of type 2 diabetes; mechanisms of effective therapy of diabetes by selective choice of macronutrients

SUMMARY

Valorization of milk fat globule membrane enriched ingredients

SUMMARY
Identify processing conditions which allow efficient and high quality separation of Milk Fat Globule Membrane (MFGM) from cream, while conserving the functionality of the MFGM stripped triacylglycerides.
